Because Iceland is a very parental state in a very stupid way. A good example would be the fact that the sale of beer was prohibited until 1989 where as the sale of hard liquor and wine was peachy. Also, as of last week or so the sales of cold beer in the governments alcohol outlets (yes they monopolize the sales of all alcohol) was prohibited in down-town Iceland as some twisted act of revenge on our homeless bum population for hanging around down-town.. they don't get cold brew anymore.
